Our merchants can now alter the price of specific delivery zones, without affecting the default delivery charges. You can add different cities and areas to your delivery zone and price them differently according to your needs.
How can it be useful?
It can be used by our builders if they want to charge extra or less than the default rate depending upon the delivery address of the customer placing the order.
Step by Step Guide to - Area Based Shipping charges
Step 1
Go to "Settings" on your builder portal and click on the “Shipment Methods” button. The following screen will show the shipment methods currently enabled and disabled.
Step 2
Click on the “Settings” button of the shipment method you have enabled in which you want to create specific charges to certain areas and scroll down to click on the “Area-Based Shipping Charges” option.
Step 3
Click on the “Enable area-based shipping charges” option. After that, click on the “Add Cities” button to specify the area where you want to set specific charges. A popup will open having address input fields which merchants can select from dropdown options. After selecting the address, click the “Save” button.
Step 4
After the area is added, its default rates will be the same as the shipment methods, which will be mentioned above. In case you want to change the rates, just enter the desired amount in the “Charges” field and press “Enter” on your keyboard.
Step 5
You can add as many cities/areas as you desired. If you are done, click the “Save shipping” button at the bottom left end. Now your customer will see these updated charges if they opt for that shipment method and if their shipping address lies inside the area in which you set those charges.
Now your customers will be charged according to the shipping charges based on these location charges.
